I am in need of some help please?

I am having trouble with my system. It worked fine for about 2 years then all of the sudden the sub or amp would cut off on a deep bass note or when I turn it up loud. I've had my factory alt. tested and it is ok, battery is a yellow top optima about 2 years old.

I tried charging the battery for a day but the sub still cut off quick.

It will cut off and then the amp and sub will cut back on. What is my problem here and why is it 2 years later? Any advice?

Sub is a 12inch Alpine Type R in a Tcab box with an Alpine MRD-605?Is that # right?amp. 600+rms.

whats your voltage dropping down to when you're playin it?

It reads at 13.5v at the fuse after the battery, 11-11.5v while playing and dips into the 9v and 8v range when the bass hits. The amp needs 14.4v for full power right? What's the best way to fix this???

yeah, the vibrations arent good for the internals. 9v is way to low for anything and you will ruin your amp dropping that low. do the big 3. just google it and you will be fine

Double check all your grounds and make sure they are tight and didn't get corroded.

8-9v is where they keep the db's. They just don't want the competition to know.
