It is primitive weapon season here.. That = muzzleloader or bow...Mine is sighted in at 200 yards with 150 grains of powder and a 225 grain bullet...Deer steps out at 220 yards LESS THAN 3 MINUTES after i get up my tree..Never took a 220 yard free hand shot before.. But i did.. And i f*ked it up.. First time in 5 years I haven't felt good about a shot with a rifle. I actually thought I missed.. But i found enough blood to trail him for 400 yards and he never bedded down... So he will probably live. Pretty sure I hit him too far forward, right in the front part of the shoulder or in the leg..

He had a bigger mainframe than anything I have ever seen in the woods, but I am not sure about his score b/c it was too dark to see the tines.

I will put my trailing skills up against the best of people under 25 years of age.. Mainly because of my f*cking up while bow hunting.. Always seem to tag them in the shoulder...

Thats just ridiculous.. If my buck would have did that, still wouldn't have really mattered... Muzzleloading FTL!

Like I knew the buck was big..I get home and look at my mounted horns.. And realized how big he was... He would no doubt make the MS record books...

Nothing like rabbitzombie supposedly killed, but for MS one hell of a buck.
