Hz ?

My box is tuned to 38 Hz for daily(20/40 radio vol.). If I play test tones above my normal listeningsay 25-28/40, whats the lowest Hz I should play to avoid damage to my subs?

yea I dont have a ss filter so I wanna be safe.

To set mine I turn the SSF up to max and played a 20hz tone on repeat at full volume then tuned it down until the subs started to bottom out.

Reason being is that the SSF has a shallow slope so 1hz below tuning may not provide adequate protection, you set it so the lowest frequencys don't bottom out the sub.
