So i have this crazy back ache like no other...went to doc and he said i needed to get an xray..blah blah...and he gave me these but they arent doing shit!!! are these even a good pain killer? bc they dont work for shit!
where do they relate to compared to percocet, oxycodone, etc

Hydrocodone is actually the medical word for Vicodin. they are pretty much the same as percocet, or oxycodone, as long as the MG are the same, like 5, or 10 MG

my friend had a buttload of surgeries done on his foot, and they gave him percocet. After he took it, we would have the best conversations with him because his brain was in lala land.

Hydrocodone (same family as codeine) is in a class of drugs called narcotic analgesics. It relieves pain.

Some of you make me laugh. Although true it may not work for everyone...it doesnt mean its weaker than regular OTC pain killers... Heres some facts..

ically a watered down version of Vicodin. Normal Vicodin is basically hydrocodone (type of opioid) with an addition of acetaminophen (basically tylenol)

Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever and increases the effects of hydrocodone. Together, hydrocodone and acetaminophen are used to relieve Mild to moderate pain.

hydrocodone is the generic form of vicodin

oxycodone is the generic form of percocet

Hydro is weaker than oxy

vicodin, lauratabs (sp?) somas to me are even better, but they are a muscle relaxer, not a pain killer.

Call your doctor...or trust an MD who told you and a Paramedic who is telling you right now..

If you search for Pharms...look at there medical name..You will see the generic name for them such as Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Lorazepam

Hell i hurt my heel and went to the dr. xrays later said i have heel spurs. didnt give me anything, hell id even take the hydrocodone orver nothing..... shit hurt too thats what pisses me off. i hate pain. needs to score some drugs or a good dr. LOL

Hydrocodone didn't do shit for me after my surgery compared to what Oxycodone did.

Actually hydrocodone IS Vicodin... just that the Vicodin brand name also has some Tylenol in it, which doesn't make that much of a difference. In actuality, even the generic versions of hydrocodone usually have acetaminophen in with them, so be careful if you're taking extra Tylenol, too. Make sure to read the label and see the strength of the pills. Vicodin isn't any less effective than Lortab, they are 100% the same thing. They both come in different strengths. Someone may have had 5mg Vicodins and then 10mg Lortabs and come to the conclusion that Lortab is way better than Vicodin. Not so.
If the medicine your doctor gave you isn't strong enough, then you need to let him know that.

Yeah I know, hydrocodone is basically the 'generic' form of it. Though the addition of generic tylenol makes some difference its about as different as adding tylenol...not much.

Personally ive never liked pills though, ive had vicodins given to me after half my wisdom teeth and I didnt feel anything, and stupidly upped the dosage and felt tired but it didnt change anything else.

Same thing with percocets, I never bothered going further then that.

That would actually be more effective and cause you far less side effects then any pill.

He did mention Soma (carisoprodol) and that is a muscle relaxer.

A lot better than flexeril i might add, at least in recreational terms.
