Hybrid vs SSD18

I'm at a loss right now guys and I really need your help.

CAR: Cadillac Fleetwood 4dr. Pretty big trunk, its just not really tall

Sub Amp: Lanzar 1800d. 1200watts@1ohm or 2 strapped for 2000watts@2ohms

This is the problem, I'm either going to buy a FI SSD18 in a 6cuft box@30hz. Firing at an angle port/sub back on the one 1200watt amp. The sub needs a recone so I will get some power options.

-OR-

I'll take my Treo CSX motor and get it made into a 12 with custom made soft parts and run it off of the strapped amps on 2000watts. Sub/port back in about 3-4cuft.

Goals: A loud daily sub that will trump my current Treo SSI 15. The ability to get low AND loud on the given power. Reliability. Loud. Louder. Loudest.... Did I say loud?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Whether or not one cost more than the other is not a concern. I know they're not the best amps, but they do rated power, so I'm happy. I CANNOT go any larger with the 18 enclosure, and sub up isn't very loud in my trunk for some reason. I do not want a 15. Either the 18 or 12, thats it.

Please help me guys so I can stop posting all these questions in every section about this subject, piece by piece.

i was running Fi for a few weeks befor my car got messed up a few days ago. there stuff is great and off of a true 1200 watts it should be pretty bad ***.

your gona send 2000 to the 1 12? what u gona tune the box 2? and for the 18 i think u would like it more then the 12. u got any electrical upgrade done?

I was planning on tuning to about 32hz. I have a 200amp alt and 2yellow tops. Plan on a bigger alt in the future and better batts.

I also wanted to save a little trunk with the 12, but the 18 would be the cheapest route and I can just wait on the build for this motor when I do some more research on it and find another use for it

just think it over and see what other guys are running and see what u would like to do. the ssd's line is cheap but they are great subs. i got 2 12 inch subs siting in my room right now there great.

i wish you would sell me that motor lol sent you a pm but do the csx get the 18" recone from fi give it the 2000wrms you will be way loud
