Hybrid Audio L6 mids

I have a pair of Hybrid Audio L6 mids that come with the original boxes, the speakers have some modeling clay on the basket from a previous install.

I am looking for another pair of SQ mids that are slightly less deep The L6s are just slightly over 3 inches deep for mounting depth.

An example might be the H-Audio Soul or?

Can you not make a slightly thicker baffle?

Thicker is worse, The thing is they are hitting the door lol. I MAY try to make my own baffle and see if I can sink them into the door panel a touch more before hitting the window. I have them crossed at 50 at 24 db and I think you can guess what happens at loud volumes lol

I don't lol. But I have trimmed all the plastic crap from the other side of panel and it still hits. I will find some way to make it work now though, I have been looking and can't find any drivers that I would like to run that fit my requirements lol
