Car audiophiles,

PeAcE!!! Hope evry1's O.K. and up to give what it takes to help me make this happen.

Background- With a budget of $65,000 at disposal!!!!!

Goal- is to setup the

a) neck cracking head-turner (NCH),

b) ultimate ground shaker (GS),

c) mountain leveler (ML)

and d) massive fine's collector (FC).

Base- Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Middle East, (Land of the world's infinite wonders) and finest ppl.

Vehicle- A Hummer H3 shall be the "Metal work" - so that's a $40,000 gone already to local dealer (lucky him), and remaining with $15,000 to drain. Car due in a month's time so lets keep this real quick to do!!!

How the project works & how "U" come in handy- I will be attaching threads to the forum asking you to give me opinions, suggestions, comments, and help by saying: NEED HELP X(where X denotes a number that is a counter to avoid confusion btween u and me on what we'r all talkin bout!! DeaL!!!!!

PHASE 1

Car Audio (.com with love) - So far i have been going blind around reading forums up, down, right, left and center to the extent that e-nough is e-nough !!! LOL. Anyways, I have the following Audio thingees bought to setup upon the car's arrival.

a) Subs- NEED HELP 1? Thinking of MASSIVE CONCEPT 18" QUAD COIL SPL SUB NO RES!!!! Ebay auction # 5785610194 Should i go for it or should i not, any better alternatives?? If i go for it i want 2 of those, wht do you rec?

b) Amp 4 Subs- audiobahn a5000spl 5000 watt amplifier

c)Speakers component set- NEED HELP 2?Suggestions to be for at least 350W rms set?? Diamond Audio, CDT Eurosport, Focal Utopia, and Alphasonik possible options (in order of preference). Please keep in mind that set must have at least the tweeters and crossovers included (or otherwise) as long as sound quality, clarity, and crystalness is perfect.

d)Amp 4 component set- NEED HELP 3?Nothing in mind at all? Rmembr, ure suggestion should be based on the fact that i'll have 350Wrms set to run? Besides, i need 1 and only 1 amp to do the works!! Help??

e) In-Dash Headunit- NEED HELP 4?Want best of the best for this category, after all its this thingee's quality and performance that makes the entire setup count. right?? DVD is not a must, thinking in the lines of Pioneer, Kenwood, and Alpine top of line headunits. Suggestions??

Well, well, well.... u say, helping this guy out is the point of Car Audio and the forum, but the main Q is "what's it in for me (u say)?".

 

Well guess what, if u were i and i were u, i'd say the same!!!! Soooo:

1- In all magazines, car shows, concerts, etcs... if i'm in..... u're in 2.. by default....... HOW???............. here's how: i'll have your name (nickname whatever u choose) next to the item you helped me pick out for the HumXtreme PublicDream project? Good enough?? NOT YET!!

2- I'll etch-or-stick ure name on your selected component set? Proof is at the end of each phase!!! Good enough?? NOT YET!!

 

3- You better be planning to pass by Dubai sometime or else u'll be missing on this one........BIG TIME!!! For 1 and foremost,

a) i'll take u in for a king's cruise round town,

b) get you to enjoy an adventurous desert Safari (including dirt bike/banshee 4-wheeler riding)

c) take u on 4 the MADEST car race, stunt, performance, and customization track in town, that'll give you Goosebumps till u get back home. Good enough?? YEAH!!! YEAH!!! YEAH!!!

packer, it's not that i'm lazy, its the complete opposite as a matter of fact!!! The proof that i know what i'm talking about is that i gave some suggestions of what i have in mind to install (for some of the Q's), however, as i said this is a "unique" - "As voted for by the public project". Hope you appreciate this fact!!

He didnt mean he doesnt believe you are buying that amp, he meant he doesnt believe the project is happening. And he didnt understand why you would buy that amp if you have those kinds of funds, because Audiobahn is not top notch. There are many other amps you could have chosen and gotten better SQ and performance.

You will probably want something a little more than that...

If you have that kind of money and want that kind of bass, a single Adire Parthenon with a cone diameter of maybe 24" or 36" will outperform several 18s in linear output. Long story short: Variable cone size between 24" and 48" (you specify), roughly 4 to 5 inches of ONE WAY linear excursion (8" to 10" P2P), and a $5000 to $8000 price tag. Contact Adire directly. Since they are hand built at Adire HQ the move to their new plant shouldn't affect when they can build it. I could be wrong, and you'd end up waiting months.

To power this sub you will probably want a uber-amp to go with. Consider multiple MA Audio HK 4400. Enough to attach one to each coil of the sub. A JBL A6000GTI would work, but it more expensive than multiple smaller strappable amps. $2400 to to $4800

To power the measured 400 amp current draw of multiple amps that size, you'll need several high output alternators. Three 250 amp alternators and maybe 10 to 15 batteries. $2200 maybe?

There, record setting bass on 15 grand.

u probably miss understood me, the price tag of $15K is for the entire sound system, not the subs alone!!! I mean including the headunit, component set, and stuff!!! But a 24" to 48" sub, WoOoOoOoOW!!!

That's way beyond my athletic body can handle ....LOL .... I guess i'd be torn apart with each legament sticking at one corner of the hummy!!! This is very interesting for me though, caz its the 1st time i hear about it!! I'll do my research and get back to u on the details later, for sure!! Thanks Rave

Meaning Audiobahn is not a great company and do not make amazing amps. For the money you have there are several better choices you could have made.
