HU works without ground..??

I would have to agree that it does go up and down but if you have a negative hot in your home then you would need to turn your leads on your meter around.. Didnt realize we were getting that technical

huh? have you ever pluged a power cord in upside down? it still works

Not necessarily anymore. Most new appliances and equipment come with a larger sized prong. This is to make sure the appliance is polarized in the same configuration as the wall outlet. This came about from people doing exactly what you stated: turning the plug upside down which could cause a shock. In most cases it is not lethal, but with all the right combinations, it can be hazardous to your health.

I got zapped by a hot outlet one time...... my arm stuck to it.

.... ******.

Once My bro accidentally caught steel wool in an outlet while sanding.. and the shock threw him backwards on top of me....

Yeah I didnt even think of all the difference between AC and Dc... I used to do some home electrical.

"hot" neutral and grounds

grounds were usually green or bare

interesting thread.. thanks

i found this hard to believe but when i redone some of my wiring on my HU, i noticed that i would work and the ground not be atached to anything at all....is this normal???..(i've got a Jensen UV8 flip screen if that helps...i know, not good, jensen *****...blah, blah, blah)
dont do that ****

idk if anyone said this, but the RCA's that are going to your amps, are acting as a ground for your HU

you are tearing up your amps.

Well here's one way to look at it but still different. All the old old houses never had a ground. Only 2 prongs not 3. But they found that was not safe so there is now a ground. If that's wrong some1 please correct me.
thats way wrong

its because the trim cage is grounding out the hu.
most dash kits are plastic though...

antenna or RCA's

but my rca's wont even be attached to anything...and it still works....does that mean it's the antenna......but my amps have been messing up...so maybe it uses my rca's too, whenever theyre hooked up

I feel like its a bad set(Low tier set) of RCAs myself. I use Stinger Zero Noise and 4000-8000 series without any issues. Dayton makes a nice set...

That is the perfect spot to do that. OEM sub may interfere with the new one and cause cancellation.

The end. It’s more than obvious that these type “political threads” do no good for the forum.
