HU recomendations

So I have officially decided Pioneer is gay with there stupid pico fuse crap on the preouts and this engine wine is driving me nuts...thus I am in the market for a new HU...any recommendations?

what model depends on what features you need.

Kenwood eXcelon and Alpine are just fine brands without that issue.

fix the dp by saying i also like Eclipse, even if everything you'll find now is used. Great head units.

I absolutely love my eclipse decks. Others aren't so fond of them for some reason.

Eclipse CD7000, CD7100, CD7200 MKii, Alpine CDA-9886, 9887, CDA-117, old school Eclipse CD8445, etc.

FWIW the Pico issue is all installer related.

Humm..well this puts me in a weird situation...if that fuse only blows in a hot swap, I haven't done that and it isn't as strong of a whine as everyone else seems to be saying they have, It even goes away if I turn my gain down a tad... I checked all my grounds and used factory locations when I did my big three....Keep Hope Alive...any chance that ECU component that regulates the alternator you mentioned in another one of my post could have anything to do with this seemingly mysterious engine wine

did you ground the HU to chassis or the wiring harness? i ground my HU to chassis.

the ELD should not cause alt whine. the noise is a ground loop, caused by a potential difference between grounds. or just the amp itself.

Do you have after market HID's? That happened to my old Eclipse deck and my old Pioneer.

No i don't have HID...I did use the ground on the wire harness though, I'll try the chassy ground and I dont think it is the amp because I can hook up like an Ipod through RCA and not get the whine...
