HU for my 2 12'' cvrs :)

Buying 2 12'' kicker cvr subs for $100 on craigslist //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I currently have a panasonic 400 headunit, but it doesn't have sub channels.

So I'm thinking of selling the panasonic and getting something else.

(How much do u think I could sell it for?)

I have an eclipse amp for my speakers, so I think buying a hu with an internal amp would be a waste...

I heard good things about the KENWOOD EXCELON KDC-X493 but it has an amp.

Is it possible to take the amp out and sell it??

if not, what hu would you guys suggset?

Must have high rca output, aux/usb, best bang for the buck.

Eclipse is the only hu i've seen without an internal amp, any others i've overlooked? What model?

dude your look is over! u ok with $150 for a great HU?
get it while in stock!!!

You wont find a dead head from many companies any more, and the Eclipse CD7200 is about $550. And honestly, you dont need that much of a head unit.

Buy the one linked and be done with it. And DO NOT try to take out the internal amp... and no, you cant sell it

Well I would like to do SOMETHING with the internal amp!

Is it possible to bridge the internal amp to power one set of rear door speakers?

Like, turn the 17rms x 4 into a 34rms x 2 ?

No.

And you dont need to do anything with the internal amp on the deck. Just get a deck with 3 pre-amp outputs for all your speakers and subs. The internal amp just sitting there will not be a problem.

why do you want to use the internal amp so bad? It's shitty, not made to run anything, it's best not to use it and get a dedicated amp instead.
Well i have an eclipse ea4100 for my 2 front door speakers and 2 rear deck speakers. But I thought I might add speakers in the rear doors and power them with the internal amp, but I guess not.

I have these infinity references in my front doors but they make my amp run a little hot because the ea4100 doesn't do too well with the 2ohm references

I have that, bought mine from bestbuy for $240 a while ago though. Best headunit I've owned yet, and don't see any reason to get a different one. Crutchfield is very reliable.

Your choice should be a gimme if you ask me.
