HU, EQ, or AMP?

Which should be the controlling factor when setting your speakers .

Higs and Mid.

1. Leave HU flat/ base level and have EQ push changes.

Should I disable bass boast/ db gain on HU and have the EQ or AMP control?

2. HU has sub out. Should I go directly from HU sub out to AMP or utilize the EQ sub in/sub out(HU->EQ->AMP)?
