Currently, I have a Pionner 750mp. I love this CD player and would just re-buy it but they don't sell it anymore. I jacked up the RCA jacks during a stupid mistake. I was thinking of moving to the Kenwood KDX-x899. It has about every feature I could want in a HU, way more SQ features than the Pioneer. The only problem is because I have the pioneer XM Radio unit, I can't just plug it into the back of any HU. I found an adapter that
crutchfield sells for $29.99. I also see an adapter where I can plug into the Kenwood HU for $19.99. These together total $56.97.
While I also like the Pioneer 860MP, I can't justify that price when I can get the kenwood online for $280 + 57 = $344, whereas the 860 is around $450 (It was highly reccomended that I buy the Pioneer authorized whereas I haven't heard similar comments about the Kenwood)
Should I change brands? It is a savings of $100. I have never had a self-inflicted problem with Pioneer. The ones that are blue with the large knob in the middle do not look good to me.
