HU and existing XM

I just purchased a 2004 Chevy Silverado and it has built in XM along with the upgraded Bose system. Now I am not very knowledgeable with car audio so forgive any mistakes I may make. I would like to get a head unit one that might push a little more power to the Bose system and also be able to use the built in XM in the truck. I am interested in possibility putting a computer in the truck at a later date so I would like to get something that will work with that also. One other thing I would like to have and Aux in somewhere on the unit. Any help you guys could give I would really appreciate. Thanks

Also any Fayetteville NC guys around??

If you want to replace the hu because the blose system doesn't sound good, then you're going to have to replace the speakers and rewire the factory amp. A full system from scratch is the only way you're going to get the sound to be better. The only thing on the existing xm that is inthe truck that will work with any aftermarket equipment is going to be the Factory xm antenna. You can unplug it from the tuner box behind the glove box, but the factory tuner box won't work with an aftermarket radio.

There are adapaters available to adding an aftermarket radio to the existing blose amp, but its not really going to allow you to get better sound as you'll still be using the amp and speakers that are already in there.
