I got a box in my garage thats 7cu ft @ 32hz, and my HT sub/amps just came in.

I can leave the box as is, and winisd tells me its 0db rolloff is 30.7hz

If i lengthen the port another 25" (as much as i can), the rolloff drops down to 28.5hz

Think its worth it to lengthen the port? I dont know much about how boxes respond in an HT setup.

it might be easier to drop the port area than to lengthen the port, in order to drop tunning

I'm tuned to 18hz and it would have been a retarded long port if I had a lot of port area. So I went with a single 8inch port in a 10cube box. With no ill effects.

low tuning will help with movies...but not really for music, It depends what your goals are

I tend to throw a lot of college parties, so i definitely wont tune to 18hz. I do watch movies though too.

Maybe i'll just give it a whirl, and if i dont like it i'll lengthen the port
