HSK165's power requirements

So I am thinking of getting some HSK165's and I am wondering how much power I should put to them. I would like to have some headroom just cause and in case i deside to upgrade to something like the MLK's in the future. I say this because when I tested this out at the dealer the MLK's sound like crap and the only thing I can think of is they were only getting 100wrms each I think where the HSK's were getting the same and sounded good.

So my initial plan was to get a PDX100.4 to run my current set up (4 Memphis PR 6.5" Coaxials) and then when I get the HSK's buy a PDX150.2 for the rear fill and bridge the PDX100.4 to 200 x 2wrms for the HSK's and then I should have enough head room for pretty much whatever I would want to upgrade to in the future...

Or should I just get a PDX150.4 and be done with it? I have run my Memphis M-Class 6x9's on 150wrms and I liked that... so not sure I really need anymore power. The only problem here is if I do decide to bridge that and get another amp for the rear then thats 300wrms x 2 to the front which might been too much... I don't know.

Any thoughts?

I had mine running of an alpine mrv-f545 for about a week. They sounded good at 75watts rms. But ive upgraded to a sundown sax100.4 which hopefully will be here tomorrow. Its rated at 100watts rms but ppl say its under rated and pushes closer to 125 rms. I think that should be enough to run the HSK.

So the PDX4.150 would be more then enough then and give me a bit of headroom... now the question is should I do that or the PDX4.100 and bridge it for even more headroom...

I guess I could just make the decision to get the HSK's and never upgrade... but thats boring. I do like them though i prefered the tweeter on the MLK's...

EDIT:

What is with the bi-amp option on the MLK165's crossovers? Is it supposed to be like a quasi active thing or something?

NMV I just read that other thread with the same topic.

So here is another idea... get the PDX150.4 and when I get the HSK's I can run all 4 speakers off of it and if I get the MLK's then I can bi-amp them with the PDX150.4 and get a PDX150.2 and put the HSK's on it in the rear... or wait the PDX amps are stable 2 ohm and put out the same power regardless of 2 or 4 ohm could I not bi-amp the MLK crossovers off the same channles? I guess that defeats the purpose of the bi-amp ... NVM dumb thought.

I was gonna get the pdx4-150 at first just like ur planning too. But basically everyone said that the sundown blows the alpine outta the water so I went with the Sundown.

All the reviews I read of the Alpine show it to be pretty good and it would fit perfectly where the stock amp in my car currently is (beside the spare tire under the rear deck).

Define blow it out of the water... in SQ or power? Because even if the sundown is overated and puts out 125wrms x 4 like you say thats still less then the Alpines rated 150wrms x 4...

Well where could I get one cheap? I can get a new PDX150.4 (08 model) for $400 USD shipped to canada... I can't find anywhere to ship to canada and the closest local dealer is an 8-12 hour drive from here...
