I was pulling for Sizemore, but I knew he wouldn't win. 6 I believe was the 3rd lowest in the first round, lol!

yeah i mean hes no power hitter by any means. most of his homeruns are line drives. hes still getting them over the fence though which shows how good of a hitter he is. i still loved the first couple games of the season when he was intentionally walked like 3 times. its fun seeing ur leadoff hitter get intentionally walked lol

Actually, they are saying he is a new type of power hitter.

And there have been a shit ton of lead off hitters who have hit many homeruns.

Barely getting them over the fence? Majority of his homeruns were in the upper deck and close to 460', lol!

i wasnt talking bout the derby, i missed it. i was talking about most of his homers during the regular season. at least most of them ive seen lately have been line drives.

last guy i remember that was a leadoff that hit alot of hr's was brady anderson and with all the roid rumors swirling around that time who knows whether thats what did it or not.

Steriods or not, 51 homeruns from a lead off hitter is something else. He also had mad stolen bases that year if IIRC.

I would have loved to see Ichiro in the derby. He's supposedly been invited to participate several years now, but has declined each year. He's quoted as saying this year that he 'didn't want to show up the power hitters'.

Supposedly, in batting practice, he goes yard a ton. He's a beast.

i was at the derby ...

i saw all of the guys hit BP .. cuz it was the workout day before the derby and i must say ichiro has some pop ... he was hitting the ball of the facade in right field easily ...

hamilton is a monster plain and simple ... he put a ball off the back wall behind the bleachers about 9 times in BP and twice in the derby ...

also ARod should have been in the derby .. in BP he was putting balls upper deck .. back of the bullpen in left ...

all an all good first round .. the rest was kinda wack as mentioned ...

the cops defintely worked those dudes in the black seats .. it was hysterical ...

Said he would have this year, but he has a hamstring problem. It's been bugging him for a week or so now. He also has teammates call his shots sometimes.
