hows this power match up look

this is the last time i will bother you guys about what to do with my kicker kx650.4 and my morel hybrid ovation speakers, thats a promise.

i am concerned that 350W, which is what i will be sending to each side (mono) at 14.4v will be too much, even with the gains professionally set. i think it can handle the 250 W (mono) x 2 that it would get at 12.5 V. what do you guys think?

p.s. its im taking the car in today to get the speakers bridged and a blown woofer swapped out (its been really hot in NY and the trunk was so hot that the amp sent a pretty severly clipped signal and blew the left woofer sky high, live and learn as they say). here are the specs for the morels (again):

i had morel dotech comps in my car. and i ran them off a bridged rockford t 4004. it had a birthsheet of about 300 watts bridged at 2 ohms. and i had two sets wired to 2 ohms so 150 to each set. and mids took it fine. sounded great. i felt they could even take more. but i did blow a set of tweets. could be from clippin though. cause the amp only takes 4 volts and my headunit put out 6.5.. so no tellin... but the mids were great. and seem like they would take pretty much whatever.

just turn your gains all the way down and dont' go volume crazy. Heck turn your gains most of the way down and don't go volume crazy. It's not hard to not blow speakers, promise.

how about i turned my gains all the way down. and never turned it up to where i could hear distortion. and those suckers still blew. tweeters are just too **** delicate.

how much were you sending them? was it bridged?

ok, i am at my car install place getting my morels swapped out bc i blew a woofer and one of the tweeters got soaked. so i am about to bridge my kicker kx650.4, which would give me 250W x 2 @ 4 ohms when the car is running at 12.5 V, and 325W x 2 @ 4 ohms when the car is running at 14.4V...

(which i am sure it never is since the alternator that came with my audi is struggling to keep up. in fact, sometimes when i am at work, i leave my car running with the A/C and stereo off just to get some charge back).

so thats what i would be getting from the amp, here's the specs on the morels. last chance to stop me from making a potentially big and costly mistake.
