hows the spl of.....

im about to order my 12rlp and i was wondering hows the spl on them in the right box (1.75 ported tuned to 30Hz) w/right power (prolly around 850-900)?i know the sq is great, but hows the spl?what level of subs do they compare to?

1. 12" L5's

2. 12" L7's

3. 2000spl's (about the same as l5's i hear)

4. 12" RF T1's

these are just a few of the subs i've heard, and was wondering about ya'lls opinions........

it will most likely compare to the spl of the L7 if the box is right and tuned higer, around 35

if you can make a 2.0cuft tuned to 35-37 try it..... jellyfish hit 151.1db on the AC giving each sub 700w

sorry for all these posts, i just keep forgeting to mention things and my edit button wont load. but yeah, if u want high SPL tune higher than 30 thats for sure.

the one's i have are loud, i was wanting a more "sq with balls" install, and didn't jellyfish have 2 15's in a hatch?or is that someone else????i have a hifonics 1500d and i'll wire it to 2 ohms, so im estimatin around 800-900 rms.........

p.s. they're going in a 90 camaro in the rear well so it'll be plenty loud IMO, but space is there, i just gotta build a weird ars box........

yea i had 2 15's in my hatch w/ ~750 a piece on them. had them in a 5ft net box @ 37Hz.

im not worried about how loud theyd me (i know it'll be enough), i was just wondering how loud they could get while still retaining great sq...........hows the sq on yours jelly?

sq is the best i've ever heard. i went to a local comp a couple weeks ago, and the guys from custom sounds said they sounded better than anything they've heard. better than the W7's

how would the rlp compare to the sx's spl wise?!?! im thinkin bout gettin my girl some rlp's ...

spl sx is where it's at. i didn't have a full blooded SX, but my SX/HCCA hybrid kicked the RL-p's @ss in spl. but it wasn't as clear. i know my g/f would prefer the RL-p to the SX cause they both get plenty loud (for her) so she'd prefer the one that sounds better.
