Just for one day, this isn't my spl driver...2003XXX15Q1.4, 5.8 cubes, 90 sq. inches of port, tuned to 47-48hz with 2-US Amps 2000X's( keep in mind, this is a quad 1.4, each amp wired to 2.8. Just for sh*ts and giggles, how do you think the XXX is going to do??

It should get pretty **** loud in that setup. Over 150 easily, maybe even mid 150s, with a good install.

If you can do low or mid 150's with a single subwoofer, i've got some friends over at MECA that would like to meet you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I meant the truck is tricky getting loud. I have to build efficient boxes, and pile on the power. I like the challege, it's better than having a vehicle that all u have to do is fart, and do 150. Mid 150's on the old termlab mics, won't be a problem.

I used to have a regular cab pickup (hence the name) so I know what you're talking about. I also owned a talon that did low 150's on the lin-x with a single 15" sub (shocker extreme II on 2400w in a 9 cuft wall). It takes a shitload of practice, time and most of all patience to do that. Don't expect to just plop the sub in the first box you build and pop off a 150. I rebuilt the face of my wall and changed the tuning and internal volume more than 20 times before I got it even close to 150, and I still couldn't pull those numbers at the kick panel (where MECA places the mic).

I'm just saying that it's not as easy to pull a 150 as most people would like to believe, especially on a tight mic. I personally enjoy the challenge of high numbers with single subs, but knowing what I know and having done what I've done, I think you're going to have a helluva time pulling it off. The shocker II extreme is quite a bit beefier than the XXX, but the XXX is a good bit more efficient. I'll be very interested in seeing what you can do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I hear ya, testing..testing..testing. I've also done my fair share(check out my sig link). I'll post what it does with 1-2000X, and with 2-2000X's(if I do it). I have the old termlab mics, and I'm putting on a soundoff this Sunday.

I did an install for a buddy that's over 150 on my mics(1 of my old 9515's off a PlanetAudio 2250d), and he's coming to the soundoff. I just want him to have someone to run against, and for there to be atleast 2 guys over 150 in this class(makes for a better show).

I'm running 3 classes..

The Shocker II Extreme also has considerably inferior BL linearity, and FAR less linear displacement, which both translate to the XXX converting far more watts to output, rather than wasting them as heat because the motor has lost most of its force.

The BL curve has very little to do with the spl capabilities. It's a SQ-oriented feature that lends very little to the efficiency.

Linear displacement is a huge factor, however I think the stiffness of the Shocker's suspension and overall power handling would make up for a good percentage of it. Don't get me wrong, I love the XXX as much as the next guy...my daily driver has a RE SE 15 with an XXX voice coil //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I don't have the specs for both drivers infront of me, but I can tell you from experience that more xmax doesn't always equal out to more SPL. The DD 9500 series has less xmax than both the brahma and the XXX, but it's still has an edge in SPL over both from my experience.

wtf are you babbling about? All i've seen come out of your mouth in EVERY thread that i've seen you respond in is "blah blah blah....BL.....blah blah blah....XBL^2.....blah blah blah...." i mean seriously, is that the only thing you know how to say or is it the only thing that was spoon fed to you by some1 who actually knows what they're talking about. Maybe you're an all knowing subwoofer genius //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif but it just doesn't seem like it...and you don't have to explain to me about BL curves or motor linearity...so, hopefully next time you'll have something NEW or worthwhile to contribute. peace man, i don't hate you or anything...was just rather annoyed.
