How well do repaired subs sound?

I was thinking of getting a 12w6v2 that has a repaired tear in the surround and the cone is a little scratched up. It is this sub http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a...sandamps010.jpg Will it still sound very good? I'm looking for a loud sq sub that will hit really hard. What do you guys think?

It's some sort of speaker glue, couldnt tell you what kind though.

Is what rub? Those lines? Those lines are just rub. The only thing that went all the way through is that tear that was repaired.

Yeah, definitely looks like the sub has been bottomed out more than once.

I personally would not buy it, given the obvious problem with the surround, and it's obviously been bottomed out multiple times.

Looks like a heavily abused sub.
