How Underrated Is PPI

PPI makes great amps. I had a PCX2400 not too long ago. I don't have personal experience with US amps but I would put them on the same level as far as high power class A/B amps. If you can get a 2400 for less than 500 new get it. I sold mine for 800. Don't know much about the new DCX line but I would assume the build quality hasn't changed. If you can find one you like for a good price, definitly go for it.

Old PPI's are some of the best amps ever made. By old I mean before they went under and got bought out, watered down, and turned to crap relying on the PPI name.

The PC and Art series specifically are what I'm refering too. Some early PCX's were good too.

As far as your amp you're looking for making about 1600-ish WRMS, if you can get your hands on a PC2350, get it and never lok back. 1400WRMS @ 4 ohms with like .01 THD. Clean, pure power those things were.

There's on on Ebay I just searched.

Don't think the new one are but the ones prior to DEI buying them and Orion, a/d/s bankrupcy buyout were very under rated...and clean too, the first DEI ver were ok until they moved production over sea.....down hill after that IMO

I own 4 O/S PPI's and still sound as good as day one.....over 10 years old and daily use

That's who bought them out, DEI. I couldn't remember for the life of me. Yeah when DEI bought up all them companies their quailty went to shit (compared to what they were.)

A/D/S...man I remember them too. Solid, solid amps.

Old school PPI's and also PG's and Xtant's were awesome amps. Most modern amps could not compete with them, as they are using components, which are absolutely inappropriate for an audio applications. Like a lot of new Class-D amps uses driver IC's, designed to control servo-motors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

i run the ppi pc2350 for my subs and the xtant a4004 for my components. you would have to kill me dead to get either. never have i had the quality of those 2 amps in 1 system. even in a bad install it is hard to make that equipment sound bad.

i own the ppi dcx 1500 and it pounds, had it on 6 cvr 12vs in a van now im runnin 4 12s off it right now IN A 96 REGAL GS actually knocked off my rack holder lol. get the dcx line
