As far as i know Fi coils wont fit in a hd3 motor.

I know that but I am lookin to just mix it up a lil.Aswell as I am try to achive a different sound,more spl, less lows,higher peak and so on,that does have to do more with the soft parts rather that the motor right?

Not really...I'm not too familiar with the HD3 gap, if the coil is the same as the 9500's or the Mmats juggernaut (really short dual 2ohm coil) i've got one that will fit...

(jugg coil on the left...really short (32mm long) 4 layer)

Edit: I suggest trying to stay with the DD parts...the value seems to hold on them better if you ever try to sell it...hybrids dont seem to bring as much resale value..

I actually contacted Scott from FI bout a 12" HD3 recone nd he told me jus to go to DD for any kind of recone/basket for HD3...

I know I talked to DJ a few weeks ago,he is still undecided on what he wants the final 18 to be like(iguess he has opions and ideas),I cant really quote him or anything but all I have to say is keep an eye on Audioque there will be some great/awsome/amazing products coming from them in the future.I think he is truly interested in the best interest of his customers.
