how to wire?

Hey guys,

thinking about fiberglassing up some door panels, i would like to do (2) 6.5's and tweeter on each front door....i would buy the two component sets and then two more midbass speakers, obviously the same ones so you dont **** around with that...but my question is, how would you wire this to an amp or amps?

I don't see any distinct advantage to running 2 6.5s, other than being a huge hassle. You would have to have an active setup or build a custom passive crossover.

Put the money from the extra 6.5's into a better set of comps.

well i was thinking about those pg rsd's that this forum has a huge boner over...i mean for 80 it cant hurt to try them out...

I run 2 AA poly mids per door, but active, and wired them parallel for a 2ohm load. If you try that with the RSD's it will screw up the xover as it was designed for a single mid at 4ohms.

If you can go active then why not get 4 MACH5 mids and couple of Seas Neo tweeters? Should be under $200...
