How to wire it??

Hi guys,

I just bought a NINe.1 and i am going to run two 12" rl-p's to it at 1 ohm. My amp has two speaker outputs but it is a mono. [ + - ][ + - ]. Should I wire each sub to a different output 2ohms each? Does the amp automattically see 1ohm or should I wire the subs to 1ohm and then wire it to the amp. If this is the case, how should I wire it on those outputs??? THANKS in advance.

yes, if the subs are dual 4 ohms, wire them each to 2 ohms and connect them each to their seperate channels. The channels are internally paralleled.

Thanks for clearing that up. What would happen if I was to wire the subs to 1ohm and then wire it? Would I just put the wire in one output or would I do like a bridge wiring job???

sure. you can put them both in one channel, or even bridge the two together. It doesnt matter because they are essentially the same channel. It's just easier and neater looking to run them off seperate ones rather than cram them both into a single output.

And that will gove us a 1 ohm load? will it work the same with an american bass xD1800?

Either way is the same right? Bridge the channels or run each channel wired to 2 ohms?

yes yes and yes, whether or not it will be ok on an xd1800 depends on if that amplifier is stable at ohm mono. (or 4 ohm if ya wired em different) btw if each channel is 2 ohm stable I believe the amp is stable at 4 ohms... the nine one doesnt have 2 channels, only one. Hence the nine.1
