How to wire a capacitor correctly

one wire connects to the floor of the dumpster and the other one goes up the salesmans butt who sold it to you and told you that it was needed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I recently purchased new subwoofers. This is my second set and I am not sure what size capacitor i need or how i wire it up. I have two 12" Kicker L7's with a 3000.1 Powerbass amp.
Also have you installed them yet? How low is your voltage dropping? What kind of car do you have? Do you know how many amps your stock alt is pushing? A lot of cars don't need a H/O alt for 1500rms but much past it you do. I'd say get a bigger battery and big 3 first, it's best to match batteries if you're getting a 2nd one.

I just installed them today to check everything and make sure it was in working order. it works fine. Not too sure how low my voltage is dropping while in use though. i have a 95 silverado, but i have off-road lights and a train horn hooked up on it (not sure if this affects it much). i will check on my stock amp output soon. i just bought a brand new battery 2 months ago, not sure what size either. tomorrow i will get up and list everything.

Check how low it's dropping while in use and also check again with the lights on. Really doesn't make a difference unless you plan on having your system on with your lights and train horn all at the same time.

Like I said you shouldn't need it too many upgrades to push 1500rms, I'd start with the big 3 cause it's the cheapest/easiest

wow! 14.3 with 1500 watts is nice. i drop to 12's with the big 3 done in 1/0 and i'm only running 800 watts on the subs and around 800 on mids and tweets (mids and tweet amps are turned WAY down though). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif just goes to show how inefficient class a/b amps can be.
