how can i test a amp to make sure its working right? i have a friend who wants to sell me a amp for a deal i cant pass. but he doent know anything about car audio. he bought the car with the system in it and pulled the sub out because he dident like it. left the amp because he dident want to mess with the wires. whats my best bet to test it.

take it to a shop, and have them test it.

1. Make sure the amp is hooked up to power [to do this, make sure the + going in is hooked up to the battery or other power source and the - is going to the frame at some point]

2. Put your tongue on the + coming out, and then put your finger on the - coming out.

3. Turn on the car

4. Crank up the music.
