How to tell if speakers are hitting grill?

I'm about to install my comps in my doors, but I'm scared that there is not enough clearace for their excursion. Its so hard to tell though, as I can't stick a little camera in there to check once I have the door all put back together?

How do you guys tell if you have enough room?

put the panel on, and if the speaker is in the way, just simply shave away some plastic

i think what they are trying to say is that if its hitting ur going to hear a weird sound, and generally if the panel goes back on without any problems chances are youll be fine. ur mids shouldnt have that much excursion
