How to tell a friend you dont want to co-sign for them?

Just say no, how hard is that.. I have had half a dozen family members and chicks that have asked me that before and usually I say it nicely and tell them I have shitty credit blah blah blah.. If they press it like 'Oh well let's just try' I tell them to fuck off.
Only people that should co-sign is parents for kids or husband/wife. If someone is old enough to have credit on their own but don't get approved they either a) can't afford it or b) **** at paying bills on time.
exactly

hey man, i can't co-sign because i am responsible for you if i do. i'm not comfortable with that.

I lend money (no more then $100) to friends. But to hell if I ever put them in my credit.

make my own money.. Dont need siblings help to live. I am well aware of what I can and cannot afford.
Your siblings must not love you. I doubt you haven't gone through life without a loan. When I need a loan I can go to my sister who will give me a no interest loan. I'm also fairly certain she will donate blood or organs if I were to need them. That is why I stay close with her and disown the rest of my family.

If your sister needs a loan, can she come to you?

Sorry to tell you.. I have NEVER asked a family member for a loan. I can, however go to my parents and get cash if I really needed to. BUT I have never had to. My grandmother is LOADED, and I am the only one in the family that has not attempted to get loans, co-sign or whatever from her. Like I said, I live my life knowing what I can and cannot afford, and have a good amount of cash saved up for the unexpected in life. That is how I have always been, and always will. I can prolly go 2 years without a job, and live off our savings with a few minor lifestyle adjustments.

so you've never taken out a car loan or mortgage? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

never said that. I said I NEVER ask a family member for a loan. Of course I have a mortgage.
Why go through an institution when my sister can front me the money with no interest? If I had the money and she needed the money, I would loan it to her without interest or question.
