How to strip paint from chrome bumpers?

muriatic acid strips chrome
If you leave it on the bumper long enough, not only will the chrome come off it will dissolve the metal too... LOL... He just wanted to "uncover" whatever was beneath the paint that was put on his bumpers, which is presumably chrome, so putting muratic acid on it would likely strip it to bare metal, the aircraft remover won't strip the chrome, but it may discolor it or something so he should wash it off immeadiatly after stripping the paint off of it.

On my jet boat, it had some little alluminum dealies that were anodized purple, and I thought it would look better as natural alluminum, and being that anodizing is like the second hardest surface known to man or something like that, I was really suprized to find out that easy off oven cleaner quite easily removes anodizing from alluminum... worked great.. LOL... just thought I'd mention that...

Only thing I saw was "On my jet boat"... LoL

bring it to a place that does paint removing from wood and stuff. Like 3 minutes in a tank of stuff will remove all traces of paint.

Or fill in the defects with filler, then repaint it to match the car for now till you get it redone proper.

brillo pad/water then chrome polish

if you go the aircraft remover route, better be EXTRA careful. Thats some nasty shit. But it works! Dont get it in the same driveway of something that has paint you want to keep though!
