If you leave it on the bumper long enough, not only will the chrome come off it will dissolve the metal too... LOL... He just wanted to "uncover" whatever was beneath the paint that was put on his bumpers, which is presumably chrome, so putting muratic acid on it would likely strip it to bare metal, the aircraft remover won't strip the chrome, but it may discolor it or something so he should wash it off immeadiatly after stripping the paint off of it.muriatic acid strips chrome

Only thing I saw was "On my jet boat"... LoLOn my jet boat, it had some little alluminum dealies that were anodized purple, and I thought it would look better as natural alluminum, and being that anodizing is like the second hardest surface known to man or something like that, I was really suprized to find out that easy off oven cleaner quite easily removes anodizing from alluminum... worked great.. LOL... just thought I'd mention that...
