How to mount subs in a box so they can be easily removed

Hi all,

I am mounting two 15s in a sealed box I've constructed. I forsee that I will need to remove the subs several times (in order to add filler, replace subs, etc, etc) and I want to somehow mount the subs so that I can repeatedly screw and unscrew them. I dont want to have to redrill new holes and rotate the sub everytime I service it. What is the best way to go about this?

Thanks!

Use anchors and machined screws...you'll never do it any other way after trying it once //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

And cover the insert nuts in JB Weld before hammering them in...they wont ever budge..

T-nuts and bolts will be the best, but just typical wood screws or drywall screws work for that unless you can't control yourself with overtightening/stripping them out of the wood

Threaded wood inserts work best IMO.

With T-Buts, they tend to not grab very well, and the teeth break/bend. Then when you try to take the bolts out, they just spin. In my experience anyways.

I think he means... he will be taking the screws out a lot, and doesnt want to strip the holes.

i have a double baffle, and use #10 sheet metal screws about 1 1/2" long. ive had my sub in and out of the box about 10 times and ive nevers striped the holes, but i dont screw the shit outta them eather, just enough to bite
