how to mount amps to the floor

I have a regular cab 2008 chevrolet colorado. I have plenty of room under each seat to mount my amps. However I have the vinyl floor since it is a cheap worktruck model. I would rather not screw the amps to the floor or drill holes in the floor of the truck unless I have no other choice. My friend told me to use velcro or double sided tape. Does anyone have experience with this? I do not want the tape of sticky parts to lose their grip during hot summer days and the amp slide around under the seat. I am not worried about theifs, I live in a small town with very few people knowing about systems and there is a very low crime rate. What ways are there to mount amps to the floor?

industrial strength velcro would work. Or you can make an amp rack out of wood and bolt the amp to that.

x2. Problems await if you do that. I had mine in a rack, then used L brackets to secure it to the trunk floor. Didn't budge.

Yea I wasn't going to mount the amp directly to the floor. I was going to get a thin sheet of plywood and screw the amp to the board and then make small L-brackets to secure it to the floor. That is only if I decided to drill holes in the floor.

is velcro really ok? bout to attempt a trunk install and i really dont want to screw holes in the car....
I heard industrial strength velcro would work, but i wouldn't trust it.

I think that's your best bet. Or you can get some sort of carpet that would create a lot of friction against wood and lay your amp rack on top of that. Then it won't slide //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
