How to make dash speakers sound good?

I'm replacing the dash speakers in my 04 Jeep Wrangler, and I'm trying to find a way to make them sound halfway decent. With them being dash speakers, there's nothing behind them except a jumbled mess of wires and dash components (unlike a door where there's a least a semblance of an "enclosure" you can seal/make sound good). I really have no experience with fiberglass, so I don't know that I would be able to make some pods behind the speaker mounts. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how I can make these sound better? Pretty much getting zero midrange out of them right now.

Stuffing the dash cavity with fiberglass batting or fiberfill sometimes helps but don't expect any bass from them. What size are they and do you have them on bass blockers?

how do you have it crossed over
It's crossed at about 100hz. SA8v2's picking up below that

They're 5.25's, so I'm not expecting much, but they should be doing better than this.

you can use weatherstripping foam to create a seal between the speaker and the grill - that way the dash acts as the baffle. you can also stuff polyfill batt inside the cavity fairly safely.
I have some polyfill laying around, I'll stuff it back there and see if it helps.

Jeeps are Chrysler products and Chrysler typically offered an infinity sounds systemfor from the factory. I'm not sure if it was offered on jeeps but perhaps they did something in a infinity equipped model that may be useful to you

Then where would you suggest I cross it over?

Warren, they had a 7 speaker system, but it's pretty much useless. Had 4" components up front, which would be even harder to make sound good.
