How to keep a replacement surround strait

So I've done about 10 surround replacements on crappy woofers, Cerwin Vega 10's, and about 5 JL 12's. Now the JL's keep kicking my ***. Some times I can get the surround on strait and sometimes I can't. It's usually hit or miss, but I can get it where there is no rubbing most of the time. Now my question to you is, how does everybody keep the surround on strait. I'm using GC Bond glue, which is like a contact cement, so once it touches it's self its a done deal. Any tips or tricks on how to get the surround on strait? Mucho thanks.

well, generally, when people replace surrounds they also replace dustcaps too

That's because they shim the VC when they do it, and in order to get to the VC you gotta take the dustcap off

Thats the only way I know how
