How to get the most outta my sub

Allright i got a kicker Comp VR hooked up to a MTX 425 watt amp and i want to know what thing i can do installation wise and any other way to get the absolute most out of my system. ive heard people talking about how they can make IMPP's and HE2's hit like W7's with the right installations and i want to know what there is to do to get the most out of my system in sound quality and just hard bass.

Make sure your amp gets all the power it needs. Don't cheap out on the wiring, get nice and thick. Also, sound deaden a bit. Rattles will steal both SQ and SPL.

its not just the installation. you have to have the right amount of power flowing thru and u defenitely need a crossover this will help your bass tremondously if adjusted correctly. Also the best way to hear your bass kick ass is to build your custom box with the woofers own specs. you will hear the difference right away. one other option is you can build your custom box and have it ported thru the rear deck of your car depending on the car. you will have so much bass if its done correctly, thats what i did to my car and i have asingle 12inch
