How to get a trunk car loud?

It depends on what you want your tuning frequency and if they fit. The height and width of my enclosure was just a little bit bigger than the diameter of the sub and I adjusted the depth so I could get 3.8 cubes out of it. That way the full lenth (17") precision ports would fit in my trunk which tuned it close to 40 hz. Since two 6" ports are only a tad bit more port area than four 4" ones you should be okay keeping them the same length.

I just tried sub foward port side in my camry with 4 4inch aeros, and my car didn't like it. I put my old box back in, sub back/port back slot port box in the car and it works much better for me. I don't know if it was the fact that I could only do 3 cubes with the box or if my car just doesn't like that loading. I'm about to try an aero box again sub back port back 4 4inch @ 4 cubes net.

How long were your ports? If you used the full 17" length on the ports with only 3 cubes, it would have been in the mid 40hz range. You could have used 3 with no problems.

hmmm, that's odd. If you have any extra wood and don't mind building another enclosure you could try the sub up, underneath the rear deck with the same port direction. That has also worked for me and others.
