well in my area im known and not at the same time only thing here is kicker and some jl audio products and expensive shops i do alot of installs for people around here so yes and no been 10 years since last ran through a comp looking to get back into it hence reason i ask the question that i did

Usually sign a contract agreeing to attend/compete in a set amount of competitions, and be a good representitive for their product. Sometimes the equipment doesnt become yours until you have met the contracts terms.
