I have a sub that I think is dual 2 by the way my amps have acted on it. It doesnt say anywere on the inside of the sub what impedance it is.

it depends on the RMS Wattage, 0-500RMS = single 2 ohm, 500-1k = single 4 ohm, 1k-2k = dual 2 ohm, and 2k+ is ussually dual 4

you can either look up the model number of the subwoofer (which should be on the magnet), and that should supply enough information to gather whether it is 2 or 4 ohm. Then, look at how many terminals are on the subwoofer, 4 terminals means its a dual ohm subwoofer, 2 terminals means its a single ohm subwoofer

My two channel 250x1 bridged seemed just as loud as my single channel 400. It's also dual voice coil.

then listen to ME. get a DMM, put the positive lead into the postive on your sub, put the negative into the negative of your sub.

BOOM. it gives you OhMZ!

Supposed to be dual 4-ohm... but borrow a DMM and measure it yourself anyway so you know what to do next time.
