Ok so I have come to find out that I am not going to be able to get a Headunit in my dumb car (1999 Mercury Sable with climate control so on so forth) but I have heard about a crossover or something. Ive been wanting to get the MRP-650 Alpine AMP and a Type-R 12". Is it possible for me to be capable of using these in my vehicle?

Use a line output converter...Google it.

David Navone makes a good one. Run the sub amp off that.

yes you can use an aftermarket amp/woofer in your car with your stock HU, useing a simple Line Out Converter. or if the amp has a high level input, which im not sure it dose, you can use that.
