how thick wood cover for false floor?

What do you folks reccommen should be thickness of the cover for my false floor im planning on plexiglassing it as well how thick should a good cover be 1/8 ? 1/4?

i say go with 1/4 so as to not make it too thin and give it some rigidity. I was going to do 3/4 on mine but will probably go with 1/2" now.
