This shows the type of world we live in. Where people care more about the lives of animal's then the life of a fellow man. They wanted to make a example out of Vick for dog fighting so it should have only been fair to truly make a example out of Stallworth. Well he paid the family a healthy chunk of money so they really don't care that he killed their relative, that helped him in criminal court since the family was compensated. They need to just make set amounts of time for each crime or something. Make everyone do the same time no matter who or how much money they got.

Murder 20 Years.

**** 15 Years

Robbery 5 years.

Etc.

Seems like a no brainer to me. If they do their time, get out and do it again, just double the sentence and send them back again.

Lawyers and judges wouldn't make any monies is they had set times like this, the legal system isn't for you and me, its for the rich and powerful. How many average joes with a public defender do you think beat a DUI/Vehicular Manslaughter charge?

So... if Mike Vick would've just paid the dogs relatives some money and fed them some T-Bones he shouldn't have done any jail time? The amount of money you have shouldn't lessen the amount of time you spend in jail when you commit a crime.

Seems like his family was made whole, as they were the ones to suffer the loss, so what's the issue? He shouldn't have got any time at all.
