I have a 97 bravada, same thing as a blazer/jimmy.

Sub setup is a pair of RE HC 12"s, powered by an IA 20.1 at .5

Ported, tuned to 32. Box is 3.6 cubes total, 45 sq. inches of port.

It has a switchable port, which would bring it up to 39 hz with 70 sq. inches of port.

Some kid down the street has a similiar truck, same year blazer. He has a pair of Type R's, and his shit is MUCH louder than mine........Not sure what amp/box he has, but it just doesnt seem right to me.....

Would the jump in tuning and port area have a huge effect or not? Anything else I could try?

Box is **** solid......build by inhumanacura/matt281, originally for a pair of RL-Ps.

Facing towards the rear, both subs and port.

I had some air leaks, from subs being put in and out so often.......put silicone around the subs today, so Ill see if that helps tomorrow.

Install is good- 1/0 to the amp for power and a ground, good ground, etc.

Dont know, but its buggin me.........its not like Im envious of his setup, I just wonder if mine isnt performing at its best........hmm.

Also, your box with those subs might have odd peaks in the response. If you have some t/s parameters, plug them into winisd, or I can do it for you if you have some specs.

Time to look harder, I guess.

Your box is a little small. You would be AMAZED by what adding 1 cubic foot to each sub will do. It will literally bring them up from the dead.
