the problem with a vice or hammer is that you only flatten the ring onto he wire, wire can still be pulled out. these actually put a dent up into the wire that cant be pulled out. deffinitly the best tool ive ever bought

Get a hammer crimper!!

it is a tool designed for this.

it has a plunger that you lift up and place the terminal in and and then using a hammer it does the same thing a regular set of smaller crimpers do PERFECT every time and you can use it even if the wire is already in place.

soldier that bish after to throw that cheap looking ring terminal away and go to the hard wear store and pick yourself up some fonney premium copper cable lugs you can either get 1/2 stud or 1/4 melt a bunch of copper in it and then hold the torch on it and make the solder a liquid and then stick the wire in it then heat shrink tubing around it. thire you go solid connection and their not them gold or silver plated shit for all you know you could be getting gold plated aluminum bs
