How skinny can my port be?

Im gonna start calculating my box for my 3518s but I wanna know how skinny I can make the port. I want to do a wedge box to match the angle of my rear seats with the subs facing up and the port across the bottom of the box facing back in my MDX. is 5" x 30" too skinny? Any other ideas?

yeah I can make it 48 inches long if I wanted to, I've just heard that weird things happen if it gets too elongated

DD says 100 sq. inches per 3518, I should probably step it up a bit...

you can also use it to determain poert opening, Just make suer that the "vent mach" is in the green

that much?? Thats what they recommend for the 9500s. I would really like to move some air with this setup though

Id go as big as you can manage without it making your enclosure too big to fit...

All that is going to accomplish is needing to make the port length longer. As long as he keeps that Vent mach in the green he is good to go.
