how safe would it be to...

run my 20.1 at .5 ohm without an exta battery in the back? ill be getting a yellow top, but it wont be for couple more weeks, and i have the chance to install it tomorrow, so ya...
u have a dry cell under the hood right now? if so have at it... what wire u using with it ? 1/0?

I have stock electrical system, 1/0, hc2400 in the trunk and not even full tilt the electrical system can't handle it cruising on the highway. But then I think it killed my alternator/voltage regulator already. I say keep it at 2 until you get the electrical system up to par.

20.1s don't play around when you run them low. They start to draw some mean current. 1 alone can pull in excess of 300 amps when run down in the dirt. I say run it at 2 as well until you get your electrical up to par...

This is coming from someone with EXTENSIVE hands on experience with 20.1s and 40.1s

I currently have a strapped pair of 20.1s in my truck.
