Have anyone had any MTX6000? All i really want to know is are they durable like the sellers claim and are they really worth buyin? will I be down steppin if i had 2 rockford fosgate 15 XLC to 4 MTX6000 12's? Also one more thing is which would you all go with pioneer head unit or the alpine? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

The 6000s are a great sub and are very reliable. Whoever tells you different, has never owned one.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

well i have never owned a mtx6000 but my friend has. he bought 2 of them and we put them in his car and one of them didnt even work and the other distorted at high volume..there were only 150 rms goin to them. i had the gain turned to 1/2 way and the same with the bass boost. the bass on the radio was set at -2

The 6000 series is very decent. A buddy of mine is running 4 10's and they hit really hard...and they dont even distort at high volume levels. I know he is really happy with them. Oh, and he is running LOTS of power to them. As for the head unit, its whatever you like but its a really tough choice.(Alpine;))
