i have a buddy thats stuck with the mind set like that. he went from a decent 2k amp to a knock off 6k amp with 4g power inputs. reason being it did not drop his voltage. dident have the heart to tell him its gona fry in weeks if not months. he is pushing my old 2k rms stroker 15's.Most people saying "on 2k" are not seeing close to 2k.. They just have them on a 2k amp. After impedance rise they will be no where near 2k.
So many people do this **** and its annoying. Clamped wattage numbers make people very upset 90% of the time. Just like metering… lol
back to the topic unless u want to get nasty loud=alot of money into batts alts. 500rms is all u need for good sq and decent lows. that is if u do it right. 2k amps on stock power is a joke!
