How much speaker wire needed?

OK, I'm going to be attempting to do my first audio installation and I'm not sure how much speaker wire I will need. I'm going to be running a 4 channel amp to run two components in the front and 2 rear speakers in a 1995 acura integra coupe. man you're gonna have to measure... i doubt anyone knows off hand, especially not even knowing where you're mounting the amp or w/o pics or anything...

I mean, I'm just going to have it sit in the trunk...but you're right, I should measure.

get a spool of string or something and lay it out where you're gonna run wire... then measure it up aginst a yardstick... and always better to get a little too much and snip some off

Yea, just get a tape measure and get a rough estamate. And its always to have too much wire then to get started and go "Shit, I came up short"

i wired up my car just a beretta (little car) to wire my comps and rear speakers cost me about 150 ft of 12ga... hope this helps some or at least gives you an idea

i dont get it how u used so much for a small car...?? i used not even 50ft....

i donno... ran a set for the driver woofer, then a set for the driver tweet, ran a set for the passenger woofer, then a set for the passenger tweet, ran a set from the HU to the passenger side rearfill, then ran a set to the driver side rear fill, ran another set from the subs to the amp... all in all it totalled about 150 ft

daymn I dont remember for sure but I know I used atleast 60+ ft for just the front components. But then again i had my x-over in the hatch cover so I had to run double back and forth. The rears I didnt even ran new wires yet. I would say around 60ft if planning to put x-over in the door and around 80ft if you doing xover in the trunk + rears.

My 99 camry needed just under 100foot (around 85foot) to run 2 runs from amp in trunk to passives also in trunk, then 2 runs from passives to woofers + tweets in front doors. If you're going to run from the deck to rear fill as well as runs for components in front doors from trunk you'll need at least 125foot.

50ft 12 guage lightining audio and 294 strand count and best part free shiping. lightning audio wire is usually pretty good strand count and good quality judging from my 4 guage flat power wire which is huge.

only $12 used to be $24... I would have bought 4 of them 50ft roll if I didn't buy already from ebay.

just buy 4 pack making 200ft more than enough....

better get it before sold out or sale ends whichever.
