How much space for 15" Kicker L7?

I'm working with a Honda Civic trunk and I can roughly fit a 33" width, 19" depth, and 15" tall ported enclosure in the past. I can probably squeeze in another 1" all around and be able to fit. I want to see how much space and tuning should an 15" L7 get to make it get real loud. It's a daily driver car so SQ should just be bearable. What do you recommend as far as space and tuning goes? Should the port face up, toward the rear, front, side? Where do you suggest I get my box built at? I had my last box built by BJ Fisher customs...is he and that company still around?

well obviously ur gonna need that extra inch in height cuz the sub itself is 15" lol. but the manual says for minimum 3ft cube box + port. thats the minimum tho.

i would do 5 + port. that will get it going. i think i remember someone saying 6.5 after port and sub is prime.... sounded big to me but they played with L7's alot

with the space I'm working with, is it possible to get over 4.0 space before port? should the slot be facing up front, side or rear for best results?
