How much room?

I'm working on a small system for my 03 Toyota 4runner. I'm looking to mount the amp under the passenger seat (want it hidden). The amp I am looking at will fit, but it's tight. I'll probably have 1/2" on both sides and above. Will this be enough room for the amp to properly breath? If it matters, it's a Kenwood amp rated at 1800W max, I'm going to push 200-300 with gain turned down and a 4 ohm load on a single 8" sub. My other option is a much smaller amp, but it's still only gonna have about 3/4" in above but much more room on the sides (Kenwood 300w max). Will it be alright to mount the larger amp there? The smaller one? Thanks!

As long as the amp is not actually closed off, like in a box, the amp will be fine.
