how much RMS is this sub?

ok i have these xtant 10s on the back it states 250 watt RMS 4 OHMS. my question is does that mean per coil or total? is it really 500 watt rms 8 ohms? would the sub really sound that much different if i just use one coil?

dont use a single coil, and its 250 rms.

250 total. And dont use just one coil. They are not designed to run that way. You have to use both VC's

ok nevermind about on the 8ohms part... i looked around i dont think theres a dual 8 ohms sub hahaha...

thanks the reason i ask about the RMS is because i bought the subs used, so i tried looking for the specs online and on xtant's sites it states that sub has "500 watt rms handling power" http://www.xtant.com/html/techSupport/pdfs/X1044.pdf

the only other thing is my sub is X1044A (which i cant find anywhere) not X1044
